Girls Varsity Soccer Team Looks to the Future With High Hopes

The Smithtown Christian girls soccer season was a time filled with teamwork and growth. With thirteen girls on the team, they never gave up and fought till the end.

Coach Steve Chandler said, “The girls tried their best this season, and a lot of personal goals were met.”

The team is in league 7 and finished with a record of 2-12.

Christi Clinton (senior), and Chloe Drzymala (sophomore), were All League players. Rebecca Giancana (senior) was All Conference as well as All League Academic with Anna Casmass (senior), and Christi Clinton.

The players that really carried the team to success this season were Christi Clinton, Rebecca Giancana, Kristina Reuter (junior), and Chloe Drzymala. The top players returning next year are Chloe Drzymala and Kristina Reuter.

One highlight from the season included their Kicks-For-Cancer game where the girls met their goal of raising $1700 for cancer research.

Coach Chandler has high hopes for next year and believes it will be another building season.
