The JV Girls Basketball team has had a strong start to their season thus far.

The team, led by Coach Teelah Grimes, had their first win over Knox School on Monday, December 8. The team of eight girls has come together quickly as a team.

Two new strong and well rounded atheletes, Caroline Painter (junior) and Alexis Weindorf (8th grade), joined the team this year. Despite the small amount of players on the team, the girls are planning on working hard toward success.

The Upperclassmen are being very supportive of the underclassmen. Already, there is a noticable improvement in the few underclassmen on the team. The players have really stepped up to the challenge.

Coach Grimes says, “the goals this season are to win the sportsmanship award, finish top in the league, and prepare to go varsity.” She also shares on how she expects this season to be different, because there is “more talent and a more dynamic team, which helps them be a threat.”
