The Presence of God was felt by elementary students at Spiritual Emphasis Week.
This year’s theme was “First.” The students learned how to put God before all else and see His importance.
Elementary Principal Dr. Heather Lee said, “I chose the theme after much prayer this summer and believe it’s an important thing for young Christians to learn early.”
Students were able to enjoy worship led by teachers Ms. Taryn Martin and Mrs. Nancy Saponeiri. The student drummer for the week was Nick Markowitz.
This year’s guest speaker was Mrs. Lynne Nofi, Christian speaker and author. She challenged students with a “forgiveness dare” to be released from pain caused by anyone or anything.
Students all across elementary school made the choice to take this dare. Mrs. Nofi taught the students about God’s unconditional love as well.
The children were able to buy Mrs. Nofi’s books, What is Forgiveness and What is Unconditional Love.
