That’s a Wrap for SCS Boys Varsity Soccer

The SCS Boys Soccer team finished their season strong.

Coach Nieto explained, “We lost 8 players last year. We knew it would be a little bit of a challenge, but it turned out better than I thought it would.”

The team’s season record was 4-9, and overall in the league it was 4-6. The boys’ lost in their first round of playoffs in the NYS Sub-Regional game to Fort Ann, with a score of 3-0.

The players that received All-Conference recognition were seniors Nikita Grob and Ian Mims.

All-League was awarded to sophomores, Luciano Pagliarulo and Aydin Olgun.

Senior, Zachary DiBlanda made the 2015 Academic All-County team.

Next year’s top returning players to watch include juniors, Rich Clinton (MID), Anthony Lewis (MID), John Martin (MID), Kyle Seok (MID), William Vandeventer (MID/GK), Brandon Weindorf (FWD), Jhair Alzamora Martinez (MID), and Justin Zuber (MID).

The top returning sophomores include, Luciano Pagliarulo (FWD), Spencer Stein (BK), and Aydin Olgun (GK).

Coach Nieto says, “We had a good season, I enjoyed it and the team learned a lot. It was a good experience.”

He is “Shooting high” for next season.
